The Search The further the spiritual evolution of mankind advances, the more certain it seems to me that the path to genuine religiosity does not lie through the fear of life, and the fear of death, and blind faith, but through striving after rational knowledge. --- Albert Einstein After close on two centuries of passionate struggles, neither science nor faith has succeeded in discrediting its adversary. On the contrary, it becomes obvious that neither can develop normally without the other. And the reason is simple: the same life animates both. Religion and science are the two conjugated faces or phases of one and the same act of complete knowledge-- the only one which can embrace the past and future of evolution so as to contemplate, measure and fulfill them. --- Teilhard de Chardin Christianity cannot take the place of thinking, but it must be founded on it.
